Job Overview

Assist in the repair and maintenance of commercial transport trucks and truck‑trailer systems. Perform diagnostics, adjust systems, and ensure components meet manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck and truck‑trailer systems.
  • Inspect mechanical units for faults and malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor.
  • Review work orders and test automotive systems and components.
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer specifications.
  • Estimate parts and labour costs for maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service.
Qualifications
  • Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.
  • 1 to 2 years of related experience.
  • Good hand‑eye coordination, attention to detail, and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Valid driver’s licence and own transportation (public transportation available).
  • Excellent oral and written communication; dependable, flexible, and a team player.
Additional Information
  • Hourly wage: $32.00 to $36.00 (to be negotiated).
  • Requires overtime; starts ASAP; 40‑hour work week.
  • Salary is negotiable; position is permanent.
