We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Logistics Coordinator to oversee and optimize our logistics and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in cross-border shipping, carrier relations, and logistics coordination to ensure timely, cost-effective transportation solutions.

- Term of Employment: Full time / 2 years contract
- Salary Range: $35 – $37 per hour
- Monday to Friday. 30 hours per week

- Vacation: 2 weeks per calendar year
Responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule domestic and cross-border (Canada/US) shipments via truckload, LTL, and intermodal
- Book carriers, negotiate rates, and secure equipment (e.g., dry vans, reefers) to meet customer requirements
- Monitor shipments in real-time, resolving delays or disruptions proactively
- Build and maintain relationships with carriers, brokers, and co-loaders to expand Rolls-Right’s network
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, providing updates and resolving logistics issues
- Quote freight rates and advise customers on optimal shipping solutions
- Track and report OS&D with carriers and warehouses
- Use logistics software (e.g., TruckRight, TruckRight 3PL) to track shipments and generate performance reports
- Identify cost-saving opportunities
Required Skills:
- Completion of a post-secondary education program of less than two years in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience will also be considered
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination
- Proven experience in supply chain coordination, preferably within the trucking or 3PL industry
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with carriers, drivers, and customers
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with a focus on accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Experience with customs clearance processes and documentation is an advantage
