Job Title : Training Specialist - Refinish

The Refinish Training Specialist serves as a key liaison, providing crucial communication between the Regional Training Leader and Training Instructors (if applicable). The primary responsibility is to deliver standardized training programs through training centers to internal and external customers.

  • Deliver face-to-face training and webcasts.
  • Provide guidance, goal setting, and development for Training Instructors.
  • Collaborate with strategic team members to ensure a consistent, industry-leading customer experience.
  • Network with business, customers, and training teams to assess and deliver training tailored to their needs.
  • Maintain the training data dashboard.
  • Create and update training schedules across selected countries.
  • Support industry-related events as appropriate.
  • Contribute to content development as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Plan and schedule regional training activities.
  • Implement organizational training goals.
  • Coordinate with national and regional training resources for continual improvement.
  • Gather feedback and take appropriate actions.
  • Manage product inventory at training locations.
  • Support regional strategies for products and colors.
  • Align with market and segment initiatives, supporting sales and business strategies.

The role also involves managing security, safety, and operations of the training site, including contract administration, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and ensuring the training center meets Axalta’s standards.

MUST HAVE :

  • High School Diploma / GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of automotive paint application experience.
  • Ability to develop and execute training strategies.
  • Strong business, technical, and communication skills.
  • Customer-focused approach.
  • Proficient in MS Office and internal software.
  • Deep product, process, and application knowledge.
  • Excellent listening and probing skills.
  • Experience in collision shop management.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.

  • Ability to build relationships internally and externally.

Travel approximately 10% is required.
