We are currently seeking a Tower Crane Operator to join our fast-paced, challenging project in Metro Vancouver. Applicants from the Metro Vancouver / Lower Mainland area are encouraged to apply.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Operate crane to lift, move, or place construction equipment and materials
  • Follow safe work procedures for lifting, lowering, or moving loads
  • Understand lifting and load-bearing capacities of the tower crane
  • Secure loads with suitable lifting equipment
  • Communicate with the operator via two-way radio and/or hand signals
  • Signal and direct trucks for loading and offloading
  • Inspect rigging equipment
  • Rig in decks and fly tables
  • Inspect crane and calculate capacities
  • Fly tables
  • Assemble and dismantle cranes
  • Perform repairs and maintenance
Working Conditions
  • Overtime after 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
  • Overtime and weekend work as required
  • Two paid 15-minute breaks and one ½-hour unpaid lunch break daily
  • Working at heights
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently
  • Positive attitude toward safety
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Self-motivated
  • Manual dexterity, mechanically inclined, and physically fit
Requirements
  • 3–6 years’ experience operating tower cranes
  • 2–4 years of tower crane rigging experience
  • Journeyman Tower Crane Operator Certificate or provincial equivalent
  • Fall Protection ticket
  • CSTS (required)
  • WHMIS (required)
