Job summary

A regional healthcare organization in Halifax is seeking a Therapeutic Assistant for a casual part-time long assignment. You will assist in providing health and therapeutic services under the direction of a Recreation Therapist, while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to support patient care. Candidates should have completed year one of an accredited Therapeutic Recreation program and hold current CPR certification. This position offers an hourly rate of $24.75 - $28.63 and eligibility for a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and completion of year one from an accredited Therapeutic Recreation program.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• St. John Ambulance First Aid course is preferred.

• Collaborate with the inter-disciplinary team on individual care plans.
• Communicate patient-specific information to enhance treatment.
