Band 5 Theatre Practitioner - Ophthalmology Theatres - (PCEU Eye Day Bed Unit - Windsor)
PLEASE NOTE: This post is based at Prince Charles Eye Unit, King Edward VII Hospital, St Leonards Road, Windsor, SL4 3DP - and attracts a Fringe payment of 5% of gross basic salary.
We are looking for a motivated registered nurse or operating department practitioner to join our highly graded theatre team at Prince Charles Eye Day Bed Unit, Windsor.
The team's ambition to provide outstanding patient-centred care was recognised and awarded in 2024 with a Royal Berkshire Team of the Year CARE Award.
The post is suitable for both newly qualified or experienced practitioners. You would work as part of a highly skilled team.
Candidates interested in developing a career in ophthalmology day surgery will have the opportunity to develop a range of relevant skills as we have a dedicated education team in place with a comprehensive education strategy which underpins the development of all grades of staff within theatres, facilitating career development and progression.
Following a restructure of Eye Surgical Services, exciting opportunities have arisen for enthusiastic, highly motivated and ambitious staff to join our dynamic unit and who strive to deliver a positive patient experience.
This post would provide opportunities for a nurse to develop both professionally and personally, through local training and external professional courses.
