Job summary

A telecom solutions provider in Edmonton is seeking Telecom Installers (Level 3) to be part of a dynamic team. In this full-time role, you'll be responsible for the installation and testing of telecom and power equipment, while ensuring safety compliance through various trainings. Applicants should have strong technical skills, practical experience, and a valid driver's license. The position requires willingness to travel and work flexible hours, emphasizing teamwork and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

  • 5 years or more experience in the related field.
  • Must be willing to travel and work weekends and nights if required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.

Responsibilities

  • Installation of AUX racking, equipment racks, and cabinets.
  • Copper and fiber cable connectorization and placement.
  • Maintain timesheets and expense reports accurately.

Skills

Practical ability and common sense
DC Power knowledge
Microwave installation and testing experience
Manual dexterity
Basic understanding of electricity and electrical safety
Fluent in English (written and oral)

Education

High School, GEGEP, vocational or technical training preferred

Wesbell is accepting resumes for Telecom Installers (Level 3) to join our team in the complete furnishing, installation, and testing of power and telecom / IT equipment used in telecom, cable, wireless, and enterprise networks.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
  • Installation of AUX racking, equipment racks, and cabinets
  • Installation of all technology equipment
  • Copper and fiber cable connectorization and placement
  • De-Installation of equipment and cable mining
  • Installation of power-related equipment
  • Installation of various battery types
  • Maintain timesheets and expense reports with rare mistakes and no reminding
  • Any other duties that may be assigned
Education (Theoretical Training)
  • High School, GEGEP, vocational or technical training preferred
  • First Aid / CPR Training
  • Ladder Safety Training
  • Proper Lifting Techniques Training
  • WHMIS Training
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods Training
  • CSTS (Construction Safety Training System)
  • RF Awareness Training
Job Requirements & Experience
  • Practical ability and common sense
  • Must be willing to travel and work weekends, and nights if required by the customer
  • Manual dexterity is required and mechanical aptitude an asset
  • DC Power knowledge is a must
  • Microwave installation and testing experience is a must
  • 5 years or more experience in the related field

  • May require the use of a personal vehicle
  • General housekeeping is a must
  • Must be a team player and possess a positive and professional attitude towards work and others

  • Familiar with Rogers mobility equipment and installation practices
