Position Summary

We are seeking a Technology Solutions Partner (TSP). The successful trainer/consultant will be supporting the Atlantic region (Halifax, Newfoundland, New Brunswick) Canada Life offices, advisors, and firms, in person and virtually.

Salary Range: $51,400 - $85,700

Accountabilities
  • Provide technology training and consulting to advisors and firms, to adopt new technology, grow their business with technology, maximize user efficiency, eliminate obstacles and increase collaboration.
  • Support pilot, implementation and evaluation of business-sponsored and project-initiated technology training.
  • Reviews advisor and firm's technology processes and tools, and consult to offer training and solutions to grow their business.
  • Assist end users with incorporating emerging technology and practices into their business.
  • Conducts technology training needs analysis for advisors and firms.
  • Identifies and communicates best practices for technology training delivery to our head office partners.
  • Supports resolution of technology related issues and problems.
Qualifications and Competencies
  • Minimum 2 years experience delivering adult training in a wide scope of training content: classroom or virtual instructional training.
  • Minimum 2 years experience conducting training needs analysis and/or technology consulting.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in an IT environment: virtual/remote technology support.
  • Minimum 2 years’ knowledge and use of MS O365 products, Windows 10, Mac operating systems and software, including a corporate technology infrastructure.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours.
  • Effective presentation, training, consulting and needs analysis skills.
  • Experience in training delivery methods.
  • Experience or knowledge of end user technology, including laptops, desktops, tablets, smartphones, Windows and Mac environments.
  • Ability to perform hardware and software troubleshooting, using any PC or Mac operating system version.
  • Ability to set up and configure new laptops and end user devices.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, platforms and systems.
  • Ability to adapt to a variety of clients with varying levels of technical knowledge.
  • Understanding of basic financial concepts in a financial sales organization.
  • Adapts well to stress and change, managing multiple frequently changing priorities in a dynamic virtual work environment, ability to work under pressure with changing priorities.
  • Demonstrates excellence in providing customer service.
  • Exercises a great deal of patience, has an open mind and willingness to evolve in the role.
  • Builds and fosters relationships that support the communication and dissemination of technical and time sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently without day-to-day supervision.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with the initiative to study and explore new opportunities.
  • Must have reliable vehicle and valid driver's license.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in design and development of technical training is an asset.
  • Experience working in a financial services business is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the Canada Life Financial Centres and technology environments is considered an asset.
