Technologist - Civil

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspects, troubleshoots and recommends repairs and modifications for all civil works associated with all hydro plants, dams, dykes, support buildings and hydraulic structures.
  • Performs fluid flow measurements; prepares technical reports for civil inspections and for all major repairs.
  • Reviews preventative maintenance standards, repair histories and costs and recommends necessary action.
  • Prepares maintenance related designs and sketchesli>
  • All other duties related to or associated with this classification.

Responsible for personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the Corporation's Safety and Health Program. Responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.

What You’ll Need:
  • High school graduation, successful completion of a two (2) or three (3) year civil engineering technology course from a recognized technical institute and either have completed the four (4) year training program established by the Corporation or have four (4) years experience as a technician in the discipline.
  • Shall have a thorough knowledge of all regulations and safety rules.
  • Must possess an appropriate valid driver's license.
