Technician – Electrical and Avionics
Location: Lindsay, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)

Salary Range: CAD 120,000 – 165,000 gross/year
About the Role
A senior-level Technician – Electrical & Avionics is sought to support the assembly, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and avionics systems for next-generation eVTOL aircraft.
This hands-on role will work closely with engineering, flight test, and production teams, assisting in the development of cutting‑edge aerospace technologies from concept to flight.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and install experimental wiring harnesses, sensor networks, power systems, and avionics for test rigs and prototype aircraft
- Support integration and bring‑up of flight control systems, high‑voltage power distribution, communications equipment, and test instrumentation
- Set up and maintain test benches and development rigs for functional and system‑level testing
- Perform electrical continuity, signal integrity, and voltage verification tests; assist in troubleshooting hardware and wiring issues
- Interpret and work from evolving engineering schematics, wiring diagrams, and build documentation
- Modify harnesses, connectors, and components as systems evolve during iterative development
- Provide feedback to engineers on design improvements, component selections, and manufacturability of prototype assemblies
- Maintain accurate build records, change logs, and test documentation to support design iteration and traceability
- Adhere to safety best practices for high‑voltage systems, flight hardware, and energized test environments
- Act as an integral technical contributor and interface between project management and other engineering teams
- Challenge the status quo and introduce new approaches to improve engineering quality, productivity, and delivery timelines
- Stay current with developments in avionics, electrical systems, and eVTOL technologies
- Drive continuous improvement of processes to increase safety, efficiency, and reliability
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands‑on experience in aerospace or automotive electrical/avionics systems
- Experience with assembly, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of complex electrical and avionics systems
- Familiarity with eVTOL Certification regulations (TCCA, FAA, EASA)
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
