Primary Objective Of The Position

Under the general direction of Manager, Procurement and Inventory Sales, assist with the procurement of aircraft parts and materials as requested by the maintenance engineering and planning departments. Ensure duties are performed in accordance with Cargojet’s Policies & Procedures and MCM/MPM Technical documentation.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities
  • Source for procurement and obtain quotations for the purchase of aircraft parts, tools, materials and services, in accordance with Cargojet’s internal controls and purchasing policies.
  • Focus on AOG and time critical MEL purchases, taking into consideration the AOG location, availability of parts with other operators, and logistics to ensure the part is shipped to the required location on priority.
  • Ensure parts and supplies are purchased from (AVL) Company approved sources, and arrive with proper documents, including certifications from regulatory authorities (FAA, TC, EASA) and WHMIS.
  • Support inventory pooling program with 21Air, closely monitoring parts/tools procurement, pool utilization and parts issuances.
  • Maintain effective inter‑departmental communication with Stores, Maintenance and MCC on the status of AOG, MEL & high priority shipments.
  • Obtain Material Return Authorizations, and follow‑up as required.
  • Periodic on‑call duties, as might be required during day shift, night shift (if needed) and weekends.
  • Electronic Filing of all procurement documents, including purchase orders, quotes, certs, specs and any related documents.
  • Be knowledgeable with all company and government manuals and documents pertaining to their work.
  • Maintain a clean, efficient and safe work area.
  • Work under the guidance of the Supervisor, Purchasing and Inventory sales to ensure smooth operations.

Perform any other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma required, post‑secondary education in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.
  • 3 Years Aviation Materials Management Experience.
  • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA is preferred.
  • Engineering knowledge is an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills.
