Position Summary

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a critical role in building high-performing teams by sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent across our construction operations. This includes key roles in project management, field operations, preconstruction, and business support teams. You are a self-starter with a proactive attitude who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. Reporting to the HR Manager and partnering closely with Ventana hiring managers, you will manage full-cycle recruitment while ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the process.

Accountabilities
  • Screening resumes, conducting interviews, and assessing candidates’ qualifications for construction-specific roles.
  • Sourcing candidates through various channels including job boards, social media, networking, referrals, and industry events.
  • Implementing creative sourcing strategies to attract top talent.
  • Partnering with hiring managers to understand staffing needs across construction projects and departments.
  • Coordinating and scheduling interviews with hiring managers.
  • Managing recruitment of multiple job requisitions simultaneously.
  • Maintaining a strong candidate pipeline for both current and future hiring needs.
  • Managing the offer process, including salary negotiations, references, and onboarding coordination.
  • Tracking recruiting metrics and providing regular reporting on hiring progress.
  • Representing the company professionally at job fairs, industry events, and networking opportunities.
  • Applying recruitment knowledge, strategies, and experience to elevate the HR team and overall company performance.
  • Keeping up to date with industry, market, and labour trends.

  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and techniques.
  • Proven track record of recruiting passive candidates in highly competitive labor markets.
  • The ability to manage multiple job requisitions and prioritize hiring manager requests.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and sound judgment when handling sensitive employment issues.
  • Ability to work flexible hours when required.
