A local utility company in K’ásho Got’iné is seeking a part-time Support Plant Superintendent to oversee power generation and distribution. The role involves managing safety compliance, supervising staff, and performing maintenance tasks. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, related mechanical or electrical experience, and good communication skills. This position offers a salary range of $42.96/hr to $52.18/hr plus additional location allowances and benefits.
Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Plant Operations Dehcho Sahtu (DS), the support plant superintendent is responsible for the day to day operations and maintenance of the power generation and distribution facilities to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable supply of electricity to the community.
High School diploma (or equivalent GED) plus one year of related mechanical or electrical experience or plant operator training, OR a minimum of Grade 10 education with at least three (3) year's relevant mechanical or electrical experience. Equivalencies may be considered.
This is a part-time position (15 hours/week). Salary for this position ranges from $42.96/hr. to $52.18/hr. plus approximately $17,793 in location allowance per annum. Position location in Fort Good Hope, NT -- this is not a rotational/fly-in position.
