Job Description

We are currently hiring for a Supply Chain Manager responsible for Procurement and Supplier Quality. As a leader in Supply Chain Management (SCM), you will guide a team of Buyers and Commodity Specialists in executing a unified procurement strategy that supports manufacturing, programs, and key business objectives. You will coordinate procurement and supplier quality activities, to ensure efficient material and service acquisition while proactively identifying opportunities and mitigating risks through data‑driven analysis and proactive quality management. Your ability to translate complex issues into actionable solutions will drive supplier performance improvements in quality, delivery, and cost. Clear communication and collaboration will be key, as you will align SCM priorities with business objectives, fostering strong relationships with senior leadership, internal stakeholders, and strategic suppliers.

Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Buyers and Commodity Specialists who support Procurement, Quality and Technical activities.
  • Ensure adequate communication of strategy, progress, and priorities to facilitate alignment of efforts, understanding and accountability.
  • Manage all activities necessary to ensure the delivery of quality material at the right time and cost for Manufacturing and service procurement requirements of internal customers.
  • Provide focal review of SCM advanced planning and consolidation of forecast from revenue‑down and proposal/project activity upward.
  • Manage the activities related to Supplier quality and technical support which may include non‑conforming material disposition and execution, Supplier root cause and corrective action, Audit Planning and execution, Supplier Segmentation, and Performance management.
  • Develop product cost and supply roadmap that considers total business need and commonality across programs and future opportunities.
  • Support quality certification audits.
  • Support the identification, benchmarking, and development of key suppliers.
  • Apply an analytical approach to understanding trends to predict future opportunity and/or risk.
  • Develop effective metrics.
  • Lead resolution of supplier performance, including crisis management, regarding Quality, Delivery and Cost.
  • Responsible to identify risk, assess impact, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Build effective working relationships with senior management, internal customers, external customers, and strategic suppliers.
  • Ensure cross functional group alignment.
  • Developing and managing data with the intention of LLM innovation.
  • Strict adherence to ISO/AS9100 purchasing requirements as well as all laws (procurement, contract, export, etc.) and corporate policies.
Qualifications
  • University degree (Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Engineering)
  • PMI, CPIM and/or SCMP Certification
  • 10+ years experience in a high technology, defense, government or manufacturing environment
  • Preferred experience in a military production environment
  • Knowledge of AS9100D and or ISO 9001
  • Experienced in: Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel), ERP Systems, Power BI, etc.
  • Program/Project Management skills or experience, proven ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
  • Excellent negotiation skills

Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance. You must be eligible to work in Canada.
