Position: Supply Chain & Logistics Specialist

About the Opportunity:

Our client is seeking a highly organized Supply Chain & Logistics Specialist to support end-to-end logistics operations within our manufacturing environment. This role ensures efficient, safe, and compliant movement, storage, and documentation of materials and finished goods. The ideal candidate has strong experience in supply chain or logistics, thrives in a fast-paced production setting, and is committed to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
1. Logistics Management
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation
  • Schedule carriers, verify documentation, and ensure compliance with applicable transportation regulations
  • Optimize freight planning, routing, and carrier performance to improve service levels and reduce costs
  • Monitor delivery performance, resolve delays or exceptions, and maintain accurate shipment records
  • Manage and develop Customs documentation for export and import of material
  • Work closely with Production, Planning, and Operations to align logistics with manufacturing schedules
2. Warehouse & Inventory Management
  • Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, put‑away, storage, picking, staging, and dispatch
  • Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, reconciliation, and root‑cause analysis of discrepancies
  • Implement and support workplace organization, material flow improvements, and inventory control procedures
  • Ensure safe material handling practices and adherence to facility safety standards
  • Utilize ERP/WMS systems to maintain real‑time inventory accuracy and generate operational reports
  • Support coordination between Warehouse, Production, and Quality to ensure smooth material flow
3. Vendor Management
  • Address delivery issues, non‑conformances, and communication gaps while maintaining productive relationships
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Production, Quality, and Finance to maintain alignment across the supply chain
  • Support audits, documentation requests, and compliance requirements from internal and external stakeholders
Desired Qualifications:
  • Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse operations —preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of logistics processes, warehouse operations, and inventory control
  • Experience using ERP or WMS systems; proficient in Excel
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) is considered an asset
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with a strong sense of urgency with a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required
