Job description

Reporting directly to the Senior Production Supervisor, the purpose of a Skids/Systems Supervisor includes, but is not limited to, monitoring job progress and Skids/Systems Team employees as well as ensuring packages are completed to Enerflex and Customer specifications/ standards and ensuring adherence to all Enerflex’s Health and Safety policies. The ideal candidate demonstrates integrity, commitment and creativity to achieve success within our organization.

Shifts: Monday-Thursday, 6:00am – 4:30pm

The Skids/Systems Supervisor will work closely with lead hands, department supervisors and project supervisors on a day-to-day basis. Duties must be performed consistent with company Vision, Mission and Values while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Effective and consistent communication is an important requirement of this leadership role.

With a foundation of integrity, the candidate would use commitment and creativity to drive our organization forward. This position is based out of Enerflex’s Calgary Southeast facility.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Ensure all employees are working safely and producing quality product while adhering to health and safety policies
  • Lead daily toolbox meetings and issue and enforce the completion and posting of Pre-Job Hazard Assessments (PJHA’s) by direct reports
  • Ensure employees are swiped into correct jobs and steps to ensure accurate time keeping
  • Work with tight timelines while limiting overtime to achieve customer delivery schedules
  • Managing IMACS hours vs Estimate for assigned packages
  • Perform ongoing inspection of all assigned packages to ensure quality is to Enerflex standards
  • Managing material flow for assigned packages
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in work area and on assigned packages
  • Support and drive a culture of continuous improvement
  • Report incidents/accidents and complete documentation within required timelines
  • Communicate with Lead hands and Supervisors within the Production Department
  • Develop new methods to improve/streamline manufacturing processes
  • Report problems regarding workload/manpower to Senior Supervisor
  • Track missing, late, sick or injured employees, as well as inform the Senior Supervisor when disciplinary action is required
  • Ensure employees are informed of all meetings and attend accordingly
  • Actively participate in safety, 5S, continuous improvements, Production, scheduling, boardwalk and Team Meetings.
  • Maintain individual project documentation for current projects, timely task completion, sign off and overall responsibility for the Skids/Systems Team.
Qualifications
  • Possess a valid Alberta Journeymen Certificate with Interprovincial Red Sealed Journeyman
  • Trained in CWB codes and terminology an asset
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the manufacturing of gas compressors and processing equipment
  • Interpret GA and model drawings and estimate Skids/Systems quantities and labor hours
  • Knowledge of Quality tools and testing equipment
  • Ability to learn Skids/Systems processes and specifications
  • Possess sound planning and organization skills
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and proven leadership qualities
  • Dependable, reliable, with proven attendance record
  • Ability to organize up to 2 shifts weekly and work overtime as required
  • Results oriented and a team player
