In this leadership position, you’ll oversee a team of experienced claims professionals, guiding them in achieving operational excellence and delivering exceptional client outcomes. You’ll play a key role in mentoring staff, managing performance, ensuring technical accuracy, and driving a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and daily leadership to a team of adjusters handling a range of complex claims.
  • Inspire and support your team to deliver empathetic, client-focused service aligned with organizational values.
  • Foster an engaging, inclusive work environment that emphasizes learning, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Ensure adherence to claims handling standards, best practices, and applicable legislation.
  • Oversee the assessment, negotiation, and settlement of claims, including policy interpretation and reserve management.
  • Authorize reserves and payments within an established financial authority (up to $1,000,000).
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, leveraging data and technology to improve decision-making and efficiency.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop team members to build depth, expertise, and future leadership capability.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to enhance client service, operational processes, and claims strategies.
About You
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in claims, insurance operations, or a related field.
  • Post‑secondary education, with a CIP or FCIP designation (or working toward completion).
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop high‑performing teams.
  • Deep understanding of claims procedures, policy interpretation, and insurance regulations across provinces.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and decision‑making abilities.
  • A proactive, resilient leader who can manage change and foster collaboration in a dynamic environment.
