A local government is seeking a student to join the Recreation and Culture Department. The role involves assisting with summer programs, including day camps and special events, as well as potential instruction of children's activities. Candidates should be enrolled in a related post-secondary program and possess strong communication and customer service skills. The position offers a competitive hourly wage, working 35 hours per week from May to August, including evening and weekend shifts.
The City of West Kelowna has an opening for a student in the Recreation and Culture Department. The student will assist the Program and Event Coordinators with various aspects of summer programing. This would include our summer day camp programs, specialty camps, Park Play Days and special events such as Music in the Park. There also may be opportunities to instruct various children’s programs in the spring.
This position will start in May until the end of August working 35 hours per week. The hourly rate will depend on the post secondary program you are attending, ranging from $20.23 - $25.29 plus 14% in lieu pay. The position will require occasional shift work including weekend shifts.
