We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to evaluate sourcing procedures and present improvement strategies.

This person will play a key role that will have a direct impact on several of our projects.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

Under the supervision of the VP of Operations, you will be responsible for:

  • Analyzing and calculating procurement costs and developing cost reduction strategies.
  • Driving purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends.
  • Negotiating contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality.
  • Ensuring product launches within financial targets.
  • Leading and pursuing new supplier opportunities.
  • Conducting market research, creating cost estimates, and forecasts.
  • Estimating risks and applying risk-minimizing techniques, as well as negotiating contracts that comply with industry regulations.
  • Maintaining strategic sourcing relationships and developing strong partnerships.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

  • Excellent analytical, quantitative reasoning, problem-solving, creativity, and strategic skills.
  • Knowledge of an ERP system (Epicor preferred).
  • SQL knowledge is an asset.
  • Bilingual skills are an asset.
  • Outstanding communication skills and business acumen.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • At least four years of procurement experience in a related industry.
  • Advanced collaboration and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Familiarity with quality standards, ISO, and OEM standards.
  • Comfortable performing audits based on company needs.
  • Ability to understand and analyze engineering drawings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build solid relationships.
  • Willingness to travel to develop, promote, and maintain strategic sourcing relationships.
