Contract Harmonization Analyst

Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (MMC) is a national, not-for-profit, shared services organization that supports hundreds of health care providers across Canada, as well as child welfare agencies and other public sector organizations. MMC provides value-driven contracting and procurement solutions for medical/surgical supplies, pharmaceutical products, local sourcing, capital (equipment, FF&E and redevelopment) and nutrition solutions. Other services include data analytics, in-hospital support, warehousing/logistics, technology, procure-to-pay, and accounts payable.

With an emerging focus on sustainability and reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, MMC is actively supporting the creation of a resilient value chain that incorporates environmental, social and governance best practices. Based in Burlington, ON, the organization also has offices in Toronto, Thunder Bay, Kingston, Brantford, London and Chatham, and a distribution centre in Oakville.

We are currently recruiting for a Contract Harmonization Analyst to support our Strategic Sourcing Operations team.

Position Overview

This role will support the Sourcing Directors across all categories by reviewing and analyzing single hospital contracts to identify opportunities for consolidation into collaborative Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Additionally, the Contract Harmonization Analyst will assist the Sourcing team in locating and retrieving necessary documents.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Review and Analysis:

  • Review and analyze single hospital contracts for opportunities to consolidate them into collaborative RFPs.
  • Develop and implement strategies for contract harmonization.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing Directors to identify and prioritize consolidation opportunities.

Documentation Support:

  • Assist in locating and retrieving relevant contract documents.
  • Maintain an organized and accessible contract database.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline contract harmonization efforts.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and guidelines for contract harmonization.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of contract consolidation initiatives.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with Sourcing Directors and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.

Qualifications and Skills

Education, Training, and Experience

Mandatory

  • Post secondary degree or diploma
  • Experience with data analysis and ability to provide actionable intelligence based on data to provide recommendations yielding system value
  • 2 – 3 years in Sourcing and/or relevant project experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience with hands on exposure to SSO/GPO or healthcare supply chain/procurement, especially managing a competitive process, contracts and resources.
  • Ability to develop and document process maps and apply process improvement methodologies
  • Ability to develop and conduct training programs for a multitude of stakeholders and learning styles
  • Ability to lead multi-discipline project teams.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of internal staff, hospital staff, clinicians, external stakeholders, suppliers.
  • Team player, sense of urgency, strong communicator, resourceful, time management, integrity.
  • Customer centric “mindset”.
  • MS Office, business - advanced knowledge.
  • Power BI, Power Query, SQL, Access, or equivalent database system experience – Intermediate knowledge
  • Developing/conducting presentations

Preferred

  • Knowledge of contract management & BPS/CFTA Guidelines
  • Knowledge of Innovative procurement experience
  • Experience with competitive public tendering processes, negotiation, managing conflict and timelines.

Travel

  • Ability to travel to Mohawk Medbuy offices if required.

MMC is a Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) employer offering a comprehensive benefits package and flexible remote work options. The targeted hiring range of this role is $62,096 -$72,778 dependent on experience. This job posting is for an existing vacancy.
