The Staff Engineer, Guidewire Claims is an individual contributor responsible for providing enterprise‑scale technical leadership and architectural stewardship across the Guidewire Claims platform. This role partners with senior business, product, engineering, and enterprise architecture leaders to define and evolve end‑to‑end technical strategy and solutions aligned with Guidewire Cloud and TD enterprise standards. Operating at Senior manager level, the Staff Engineer owns complex, high‑impact problem spaces that span multiple teams and domains. The role leads through deep technical expertise, influence, and systems thinking, guiding multiple engineering pods without direct people management accountability. Success in this role is measured by platform health, architectural quality, risk reduction, developer productivity, and long‑term sustainability of the Claims ecosystem. Guidewire ClaimCenter certification and relevant insurance experience are required.
