About the role

We are seeking an experiencedEngagement Manager to join our Customer Success team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with industry-leading customers and partners, and to buildquantum optimizationsolutionspowered bythe most advanced quantum computer in the world.

Reporting directly to the Director of Customer Success, you will serve as the primary liaison between D-Wave and its clients, cultivating andmaintainingstrong relationships. You will oversee customer engagements, manage expectations, and ensure the successful delivery of services, all while aligning client needs with the company’s strategic goals. Your role will be instrumental in driving the successful deployment of quantum optimization solutions,facilitatingseamless communication, and fostering long-term, productive partnerships.

The Engagement Manager will play a key role in external sales calls, collaborating with both internal teams and customers to develop tailored professional services proposals for quantum optimization solutions. This strategic position involves cultivating strong relationships with major clients and key strategic partners, including large application software companies and consulting firms.

What you'll do
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and priorities to tailorquantum optimizationsolutions effectivelyandsettingand managing customer expectations
  • Leadproject execution from initiation to completion, ensuringtimelydelivery and adherence to project scope and budget
  • Develop financial business cases to justify the value of our Quantum Optimization solutions
  • Serveas the primaryliaisonbetween clients and internal teams,ensuring clear communication, addressing concernsefficiently, and managing expectations
  • Coordinate communication and executive reviews withcustomers'and D-Wave executive sponsors
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within D-Wave to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with client requirements
  • Monitorproject progress,proactivelyidentifypotential risks, and implement corrective actions toensure successful outcomes and tomaintainclient satisfaction
  • Prepare regular reports for clients detailing project status, key metrics, and actions
  • Participate in sales calls with industry-leading customers and develop proposals and statements of work
  • Translateclient needsinto actionablerequirements for internal productteams,advocating the customer’s perspectiveforprovisioning activities
  • Ensure properprojectcloseoutincluding lessons learnedandhandover totechnicalaccount manager
  • Lead presales scoping activities to define project scope,responsibilitiesand businessvalue potential
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree, Agile/Scrum certification, or equivalent education and experience
  • 7+ years professional experience successfully consulting and/or leading delivery of complex software development projects at large scale
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with clients at all levels
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Understand client needs and develop tailored solutions that align with business objectives
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and empower internal teams by providing clear direction, removing obstacles, and fostering a collaborative environment to drive successful project outcomes
  • Abilitytoidentifyand resolve issues proactively, effectively navigating challenges with clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including sales presentations, project steering committee presentations, and providing partner updates
  • Experience working in many industries and learning new domains, while adding business value
