We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP Technical Lead / Solution Architect to design, build, and lead enterprise grade applications and extensions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The role involves hands on development, solution architecture, integration design, DevOps enablement, and technical leadership across SAP and non SAP landscapes while adhering to Clean Core principles.

Core Technical Skills

• SAP BTP Services Expertise: CAP (Cloud Application Programming) Model, SAP Fiori/UI5 development, SAP Business Application Studio, SAP Integration Suite, SAP Event Mesh, Workflow Management, and Business Rules
• Programming and Frameworks: Node.js, Java and ABAP (for integration/extensions)
• API & Security: REST/SOAP/OData services, SAP API Management, OAuth2, JWT, XSUAA
• DevOps & CI/CD: Git/GitHub or GitLab, Jenkins or SAP CI/CD service, SAP TMS, Automated testing frameworks, Docker & Kubernetes
• Certifications (Optional but Highly Valuable): SAP Certified Development Associate – SAP BTP Extension Developer, SAP Certified Integration Suite Developer and SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP Fiori / UI5

Key Responsibilities

SAP BTP Application Development & Extension

• Design and develop scalable applications and extensions on SAP BTP using: CAP (Cloud Application Programming) Model, SAP Fiori / UI5 and SAP Business Application Studio
• Lead development of cloud‑native, event‑driven, and multi‑tenant applications
• Implement reusable services and APIs aligned with SAP best practices

Integration & API Architecture

• Design and implement integrations using: SAP Integration Suite, REST, SOAP, and OData services and SAP API Management
• Enable secure communication using: OAuth2, JWT, XSUAA‑based authorization models
• Integrate SAP BTP solutions with S/4HANA (Cloud & On‑Prem) and SAP LoB systems (C4C, Ariba, Concur, etc.)

Event‑Driven & Workflow Solutions

• Design asynchronous and event‑driven solutions using: SAP Event Mesh, Workflow Management and Business Rules Service
• Architect loosely‑coupled systems that improve scalability and resilience

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and mentor development teams while
• Conduct architecture and code reviews
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams: Basis, Security and Integration
• Drive Agile delivery using Scrum or Kanban
• Act as technical advisor to stakeholders and business teams

Location and other Key Details

• This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 –6th Ave S.W.
• Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
• On-call rotation for after hours support
