Insurity\'s Next Sr. Business Analyst

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for eliciting, analyzing, and documenting requirements and/or functional specifications as needed, including the determination of regulatory impact and system impact.

Participate with customers and internal functional areas as appropriate throughout the development, testing, and installation processes. Research and evaluate alternative approaches and recommend efficient and cost-effective solutions. The individual contributes to activities to improve quality and advance the overall analysis practice throughout the organization. The Senior Business Analyst may provide coordination for small initiatives.

The ideal candidate must possess a strong desire to develop technical and business knowledge relative to the implementation of insurance processing.

What Our Senior Business Analyst Will Do
  • Develop, analyze, and document requirements, including business, functional and non-functional
  • Develop customer-focused documentation for software solutions (e.g. Wireframes, Use Cases, business rules, etc.)
  • Perform and support testing efforts
  • Assist in the estimation of work
  • Participate in system design and configuration activities
  • Stay up to date on industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of P&C insurance experience including industry operation, policy administration regulation, and compliance.
  • 4 years of business analysis experience
  • Prior experience with Sure Commercial Policy (formerly Quicksolver/Instec Policy) or Sure MGA (formerly ConceptOne) preferred
  • Familiarity with database design, object-oriented programming concepts, and overall software development lifecycle preferred.

We continuously analyze and update salary ranges for our roles to reflect market trends and address wage gaps. The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $137,000, commensurate with experience.

Languages for Québec candidates: The knowledge of French is required for positions permanently located in Quebec. The English language is required for this position to communicate with clients, partners, and colleagues located outside of Québec. French-language training will be offered to candidates who do not have strong French.
