Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Benefits & Retirement Specialist to lead the design, governance, and administration of programs that support the well‑being and financial security of our Associates. In this role, you'll optimize plan performance and deliver meaningful engagement across retail, distribution, and office teams. You'll partner with vendors, analyze data, manage process improvements and projects to bring operational excellence to our benefits and retirement offerings-helping over 40,000 Associates make informed choices for their future.

What You’ll Do
  • Align benefits and retirement programs with organizational goals and communication objectives.
  • Conduct benchmarking and provide analysis with actionable recommendations.
  • Advise on plan design, governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and deliver educational materials on benefits and retirement options; facilitates workshops, presentations, and related engagement activities.
  • Act as primary liaison with providers to ensure strategic and organized project execution.
  • Oversee audits, reporting, and ensure accuracy of contributions and deductions.
  • Supports leadership with dashboards and reports for informed decision‑making.
  • Defines objectives, scope, milestones, and timelines for projects.
  • Coordinates annual processes such as Open Enrollment, Renewals, Overage Dependent Campaigns, Vacation Trade, Bonus Allocation and union negotiations.
About You
  • A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in Benefits and Retirement.
  • Post‑secondary education; the CEBS designation is considered an asset.
  • Solid group benefits and retirement program design and or administration knowledge, including the ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures; monitoring and implementing program changes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and collaboration skills - able to build relationships at all levels and across markets; effectively communicating and working across multiple teams and levels within the organization.
  • Excellent data collection skills including needs assessment, analysis of information (e.g. description of problems, qualitative data collection and analysis etc.); able to analyze and interpret data sets using statistics and report synthesis to convey meaningful trends and insights
  • Strong self‑management skills (establishing priorities, effective time management).
  • Project support skills including maintaining detailed plans for projects, understanding and applying principles of project control; the ability to organize and track program delivery progress across multiple initiatives
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including strong Microsoft Excel skills; experience with Adobe software products is considered an asset.

Salary Range

ONSalary Range: $74,752.50-$104,653.50 /year *This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
