We are currently seeking a qualified individual to join our dynamic, forward-thinking Association and Affinity Business team as a Senior Underwriter / Underwriter, Specialty Lines, in our Toronto or Ottawa office.

Senior Underwriter / Underwriter (Specialty Lines), Association and Affinity Business – Toronto / Ottawa

The successful candidate will be passionate, results-oriented, with the capability to build and foster relationships with new and existing broker clients. Specifically, responsibilities include marketing and underwriting our suite of Association and Affinity programs and online products.

Accountabilities :

• Managing a portfolio of miscellaneous Professional Liability / Errors and Omissions-based programs across various classes of business and product lines
• Building and maintaining broker relationships
• Evaluating exposures and determining appropriate coverage terms and conditions
• Learning new product lines and coverages as developed
• Staying informed on industry trends and their impact on products

Qualifications :

• 3-5 years’ experience underwriting Professional Liability / E&O
• Some exposure to Commercial General Liability is an asset
• Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in communication, business, or insurance preferred
• Bilingual in French and English is an asset
