A leading agriculture company in Canada is seeking an Environment Specialist to manage the site Environmental Program and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The role requires a degree in engineering or environmental science and over 6 years of experience in environmental management. Key responsibilities include providing support to various teams, conducting site inspections, and managing environmental documentation. This position is based at the Fort Saskatchewan Nitrogen Operations site, aiming to create a safe and sustainable work environment.

Reporting to the Manager, Safety, Health, Environment & Emergency (SHE&E), the Environment Specialist is responsible for the effective implementation and management of the site Environmental Program. This includes compliance with the Operating Approval issued by Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP) and other regulatory requirements from agencies such as Environment Canada (EC), Alberta Energy Regulator (AER), and Transport Canada. The role also provides expert guidance to Operations, Maintenance, Projects, and the Environmental Lab team, and participates as a member of the Emergency Operations Centre.
