A career as a Specialist in our Commercial Banking team at National Bank is to act as a credit expert for a portfolio of business clients. This job allows you to have a positive impact on our organization through your experience in credit analysis, risk management, and client relationships.

Your job
  • Analyze and underwrite credit applications for new and existing commercial clients, ensuring they align with the Bank’s risk policies and standards
  • Evaluate financial statements and assess creditworthiness to support sound, timely lending decisions
  • Recommend appropriate credit structures that balance business opportunity and risk
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, managing relationships primarily withing the Bank.
  • Work closely with the sales team to build customized, full-service financial solutions
  • Monitor the client portfolio with diligence and identify opportunities to optimize credit performance
  • Be open to occasional travel, depending on your place of residence and client location

Prerequisites
  • Hold a bachelor\'s degree in business administration or a related field, and have at least 2 years of relevant experience in commercial lending or credit analysis
  • Demonstrate proficiency in financial statement analysis and sound knowledge of credit risk
  • Experience using financial tools such as Moody’s Financial Analyst
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
