Overview

You will join as an Octopus Deploy Solutions Engineer, responsible for working with accounts and customers as their trusted advisor on their technical journey with continuous delivery at scale—from answering questions to discovering challenges, and demonstrating and proving the value of Octopus Deploy.

You will partner with account executives and collaborate with Marketing and Engineering to ensure Octopus Deploy leads in solving CD at scale. This remote position requires you to be located in the United Kingdom.

What You’ll Do
  • Work from a location that suits you (home office, videoconferencing with colleagues and customers).
  • Build or update technical assets like Octopus Deploy projects and deployments to Tomcat on EC2 or containerized apps to Kubernetes using Helm.
  • Work with the account team to discover technical challenges and business goals, and prepare a demo showing the value of Octopus Deploy.
  • Deliver demos and address technical questions from prospective customers.
  • Provide guidance to prospects conducting a Proof of Value with Octopus Deploy.
  • Educate customers on the value of Octopus Deploy through blogs, guides, talks, webinars, and events.
Your Background
  • Fluent in English and French (reading, writing, speaking) at business level.
  • Personable, polite, and positive personality.
  • Mixed technical skills and experience—development, release management, operations, infrastructure automation, cloud-native technologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD and configuring/using CI/CD tools.
  • Comfortable communicating with customers, carrying technical conversations, and delivering value-based demos.
  • Desire to learn the latest technologies.

Octopus has an openly transparent system for compensation. Any Octonaut can view compensation for any role at any level to ensure equal pay for equal work. The leveling for this role is Level 3.

Compensation details: Maturing £105,000 + variable (OTE £146,500) + stock options; Performing £115,000 + variable (OTE £159,820) + stock options. Benefits include a minimum of 25 days annual leave, up to 10 days of paid sick and carers leave, 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave with flexible return options, pension contributions up to 5%, and stock options.

  • Technical Panel presentation [60–90 min] – Present a technical demo and discuss how a solution solves a problem; cross-functional team involvement.
  • Final round – Cross-functional chat; demonstrate your demo and presentation skills; final questions and opportunity for you to ask questions.
