The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer (Java/Python) with a strong background in software development, testing, and data engineering. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise and a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions in complex environments.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver and enhance new and current solutions and applications
  • Be involved in the full life cycle of a project, responsible for producing actionable and complete specifications, writing production quality code, and implementation
  • Design test sets and automate where possible, including functional and non-functional testing, regression testing as well as performance testing
  • Support the solution in production
  • Improve the end user experience by finding scalable solutions and addressing complex ad hoc queries
  • Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Able to work with and refactor legacy code (as needed)
Qualifications
  • 3+ years in software development and testing focusing on Java and Python
  • Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development, ETL optimization, advanced troubleshooting, and performance tuning
  • Capital Markets Technology experience is considered an asset
  • Experience with IBM DataStage and Data Lineage tools for enterprise data quality and governance
  • Working knowledge of Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Unix shell scripting for CI/CD and automation
  • Familiarity with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and Databricks for data engineering is a plus
  • Exposure to Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments is a plus
