A leading automotive manufacturer in Canada is seeking an embedded software developer for vehicle mechatronics. The successful candidate will work in Agile Scrum teams to design and develop embedded controls and software for vehicle systems. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing software features, and ensuring thorough testing. Candidates must hold a relevant degree and possess skills in C programming and embedded software. A hybrid work arrangement is available, providing a dynamic and inclusive environment.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Markham Elevation Centre (MEC)/ Oshawa Elevation Centre (OEC) three times per week at minimum, or other frequency dictated by the business.

Vehicle Mechatronics Embedded Controls (VMEC) is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying the embedded controls and software for all vehicle systems and components that manage vehicle motion, vehicle access, vision & visibility and occupant position, protection, and comfort.
The successful candidate will join Agile Scrum teams of approximately 10 members, responsible for developing Controls software & controls for all GM vehicles produced globally! Our Scrum teams work in an Agile framework and are responsible for Requirements, Software Development, and Testing & Verification. The primary role of the successful candidate will be Software Development and Test. Our team is collaborative, has a strong Agile culture, and will afford you the opportunity to work as part of a fun group whose product spans the entire GM portfolio!
Work as part of an Agile Scrum team that develops embedded automotive control systems. This req has multiple positions available in various areas of body controls such as lighting, vehicle access, chassis etc. The successful candidate will have further discussion during the interview process to determine exact placement based on business needs and skillset of the candidate.
