Job summary

A leading technology company in York Region is seeking an SMT Operator to manage and operate SMT line equipment. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience, a Grade 12 education, and effective communication skills. Responsibilities include daily maintenance, machine setup, and ensuring production quality goals are met. This role is a full-time position with regular hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in SMT Line Operation.
• Able to read values and correct polarity of Surface Mount components.
• WHMIS Training is an asset.

Overview

Tech Digital is a manufacturer of audio and video infrastructure equipment for the television broadcast and film industry.

SMT Operator – 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

• Running SMT line equipment
• Machine/feeder setup
• Part taping and reeling
• Verifying board assembly prior to reflow
• Daily maintenance of SMT equipment
• Meeting Manufacturing and quality targets
• Compliance with all Tech Digital Policies and Procedures
• Maintenance and cleanliness of workplace
• Perform other tasks as required

Qualifications

• Grade 12 graduate
• Minimum 2 years experience in SMT Line Operation
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
• Able to read values and correct polarity of Surface Mount components
• General knowledge of electronic components and manufacturing processes
• Experience working in a production environment or working with similar equipment
• WHMIS Training

• Adhere to established quality and housekeeping standards
