We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Site Supervisor. This individual will be responsible for planning, directing, organizing, coordinating, and leading all phases of construction activities—including pre‑planning, execution, and project close‑out.

This position is based at project sites, which may include remote locations, as well as extended travel requirements. Currently we have an immediate need for a project that is in Pickering, ON.

The Site supervisor will serve as a key liaison, effectively communicating with internal departments such as HSE, Project Management, Design, Engineering, and Estimating. This role promotes collaboration and drives continuous improvement across the project team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure quality standards/installations and projects meet both client and internal stakeholder requirements.
  • Utilize Procore for all project related controls
  • Oversee a commissioning program in a nuclear facility site
  • Provide daily project logs and site pics using Procore
  • Material and Equipment Management
  • Identify Risks and develop risk mitigation plans as required
  • Manage all subcontractor activities including safety, financial and schedule contractual obligations.
  • Monitor project performance including schedules, costs, manpower, materials, safety and environment, and quality control.
  • Develop recovery strategies when project schedule or budget are in jeopardy.
  • Lead the site team, including mentoring, coaching and performance management.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement actions to positively impact project performance.
  • Establish, maintain, and further develop professional relationships with ATCO stakeholders as well as clients, contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Leverage broad business understanding and sound judgement to move to action.
  • Build organizational alignment and effective networks to achieve break‑through results.
Required Skills/Experience
  • 5+ years of Site Superintendent/foreperson experience
  • 5+ years in the construction industry (commercial/industrial setting) and some modular construction/installation preferred but not required.
  • Familiar with ISO 9001 manufacturing standards
  • Complete on boarding and training for access to a nuclear site
  • Eligible for AECL (Atomic Energy of Canada Limited) site access and security clearance
  • Obtain Government of Canada Security Screening Certificate
  • Have relevant Infrastructure Health and Safety Training
  • Working knowledge of contract terms and conditions
  • Experienced in interfacing with internal teams like estimating and project management.
  • Results orientated
  • Demonstrated effective leadership interacting with multiple external clients.
  • Professional communication, interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously with frequent travel to (remote) site locations.
