Site Installation Supervisor

We are currently seeking a qualified Site Installation Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be highly technical and strategic and ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines while managing subcontractors and liaising with engineering and project management teams.

Working Arrangement: Onsite, Monday-Friday 40 hours/week occasional weekend during critical phases
Responsibilities
- Supervise installation of signaling, telecom, and electrical systems at project sites.
- Ensure adherence to installation procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate daily work plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress against schedule.
- Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installation activities, including progress reports and quality checks.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and client representatives to ensure smooth execution.
- Manage subcontractors’ performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Support test and commissioning activities as required.
- Manage the planning and scheduling of installation.
- Ensure that all employees (including the sub‑contractor’s) comply with the Health and Safety requirements as detailed in the Project Management Plan and all other applicable safety policies/work instructions.
- Ensure all site installation drawings, documents, and software releases are kept current to relevant revisions.
- Ensure that “as built” information is recorded as the work progresses and is submitted to Toronto for updating of documentation.
- Perform some PICO testing and assist T&C activities as required.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years in rail systems, construction installation or similar infrastructure projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
- Familiarity with CENELEC standards, signaling systems, and installation best practices.
- Valid safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, First Aid).
- Strong leadership, problem‑solving and communication skills, proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
- Experience in task planning, including estimation, performance tracking and reporting.
- Experience in installation and testing of train control systems.
- Experience with large‑scale rail deployment projects.
- Knowledge of fiber optics and telecom systems.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
