Roster: Monday to Friday

The Simulation and ML_AI Engineer will play a key role in designing and delivering Simulation and ML solutions across our operations. We are seeking an engineer with strong expertise in Simulation (Agent Based or DES or others depending on the problem) including 2D and 3D graphical output of the SIM environment as well as analysis metrics from the sim.

The ideal candidate also has first-hand experience with ML methods such as reinforcement learning, neural networks, etc. The initial focus of this role will be the development of a Simulation to be the main testing environment for our fleet management system optimisation solutions. The engineer will work closely with both the Product Definition team and the Development team to collaboratively deliver a fully functional application.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop a simulation environment for testing of all AI and ML methods. Simulations may be in DES, Agent based Simulation or others depending on the state of technology
  • Design, develop, and optimise ML solutions such as neural network and reinforcement learning models tailored for fleet management applications
  • Build and maintain scalable learning pipelines for model training, evaluation, and deployment
  • Experiment with advanced RL techniques (e.g., multi-agent systems) to solve real-world operational challenges
  • Develop simulation environments to train, test and validate RL strategies before real-world deployment
  • Monitor and refine model performance through continuous feedback, retraining, and tuning
  • Collaborate closely with Product Definition and Software Development teams to translate requirements into robust AI solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor, master’s, or PhD in computer science or an ML_AI related field.
  • Firsthand experience in design and development of Simulations in industrial applications
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of reinforcement learning, neural network, and other ML methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience designing and deploying ML_AI models in production environments
  • Experience implementing scalable ML pipelines, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, dataset versioning, and model lifecycle management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
