What you’ll be doing

At Simplii Financial, we provide personalized, simple, yet flexible digital experiences for our clients, and accelerate revenue growth for OUR bank. Our client-centered approach builds relationships and improves sales and service through our digital and contact centre channels.

As a Business Analyst Co-Op at Simplii Financial, you will use your analytical skills to support the team in conducting analysis that will help process improvements. You will provide application or technical expertise as needed for projects and initiatives. Join our team and stretch your communications and evaluation skills to help enhance the banking experience for the modern world.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

  • You are enrolled in a degree in Business/Commerce, Finance, Economics, or a related field at the time of the work term with a graduation date of June 2026 or later.

  • Location: Toronto.
  • Duration of Work Term: 4 months (January 2026 - April 2026).

  • Understanding Requirements - Work closely with Business Partners to guide formulation of complex business requirements and solution design discussions to meet project needs.
  • Relationship Building – Establishing relationships with Business Partners, Colleagues and Managers to ensure strong partnerships and cooperative learning spaces.
  • Project Management – Be part of complex projects to design strategic solutions aligned to CIBC’s enterprise architecture roadmap.
  • Teamwork – Work creatively in a team to help assess the market, business and technical merits of that concept.
