Qualifications

  • Valid Transport Canada S license is an asset.
  • Five years of experience as a sheet metal worker.
  • Experience related to aircraft is an asset.
  • Valid AVOP (D/A or D) and radio license.
  • M license considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of operating welding and brazing equipment is an asset.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to change.
  • Detail-oriented and safety-conscious.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Job description

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Repair, replace & rebuild aircraft structures (wings and fuselage) of varying degrees of difficulty, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment (shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills);
  • Apply expertise in conducting structural repairs & modifications and solve moderate to complex problems;
  • Read and interpret manufacturers' & airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine repair or replacement methods;
  • Perform damage assessment for engineering purposes;
  • Work closely with the team leader to ensure timely completion of tasks;
  • Ensure work complies with Skyservice's quality standards, policies, procedures, and applicable regulations (Transport Canada);
  • Order parts and supplies;
  • Apply technical knowledge of airframe components.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED :

  • Valid Transport Canada S license is an asset;
  • Five (5) years of experience as a sheet metal worker;
  • Experience related to aircraft is an asset;
  • Valid AVOP (D/A or D) and radio license;
  • M license considered an asset;
  • Knowledge of operating welding and brazing equipment is an asset;
  • Ability to work under pressure, adapt quickly to change, and work flexible shifts;
  • Detail-oriented and safety-conscious;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.

EDUCATION :

  • Completed Structure or Sheet Metal program or equivalent.
