Job summary

A leading construction firm is looking to hire a Sheet Metal/HVAC Journeyman/Apprentice for their Calgary and Rocky View Manufacturing Plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for building modular units and installing HVAC systems. Ideal candidates will have registration as a journeyman or be a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year apprentice. Qualifications

  • Registered Sheet Metal/HVAC Journeyman or 2nd, 3rd, 4th year apprentice required.
  • Previous experience with modular units is considered an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Building modular units from rough in to finishing.
  • Fabrication, assembly, and installation of sheet metal ducting.
  • Install HVAC equipment including furnaces and duct work.

Skills

ATCO Structures & Logistics is looking to hire a Sheet Metal/ HVAC Journeyman/ Apprentice 2nd, 3rd, 4th year to join our Calgary and Rocky View Manufacturing Plant.

Job Responsibilities
  • Building of modular units from rough in through to finishing
  • Sheet metal ducting fabrication, assembly, and install
  • Install bard units, furnaces, duct work, and Packaged Terminal Air Conditioning units (P-TAC)
  • Read and interpret drawings, diagrams and specifications to determine layouts
  • Troubleshoot and test all HVAC units and equipment in modular units
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure installations conform to specifications and building codes
  • Use hand, power tools, and light metal-working equipment to cut, drill, punch, bend and shape sheet metal
  • Follow all safety procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Who You Are
  • Registered Sheet Metal/HVAC Journeyman or Registered Sheet Metal/HVAC 2nd, 3rd & 4th Year apprentice
  • Previous experience with modular units is considered an asset
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools as well as materials.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
