A leading technology consulting firm in Toronto is seeking an experienced Developer (Other Specialty) to work on the ServiceNow Transformation project. The role involves migration of Application Portfolio Management and implementation of CSDM architecture. Ideal candidates have over 10 years of experience and proficiency in ServiceNow configuration. This hybrid role requires in-person attendance 3 times a week.

Qualifications

Story Behind the Need

Business group: GTEP - Service Management Technology

Project: ServiceNow Transformation project

The main function of a Developer (Other Specialty) is to design, develop, and implement applications using in-demand languages and technologies for the ServiceNow Platform. These positions are required as part of the ServiceNow Transformation project to migrate APM from the legacy instance.

Typical Day in Role
  • Migration of Application Portfolio Management (now called Enterprise Architecture) from our legacy instance to our new ServiceNow Instance.
  • Knowledge of Integrations/scoped apps within the ServiceNow Platform.
  • Design, implement and maintain the ServiceNow CSDM architecture in accordance with best practices and industry standards.
  • Identify and help document the relationships between IT infrastructure, services, and business services, and ensure that the CSDM accurately represents these relationships along with other related modules such as Enterprise Architecture.
  • Assist in maintaining relationships between CIs in the CSDM, including dependencies, containment, and service relationships.
  • Develop and implement data management and governance policies for the CSDM to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to identify new CIs and service relationships that should be added to the CSDM to improve visibility, reporting, and analysis
  • Provide guidance and training to ServiceNow users on CSDM-related topics, including CI management and data governance.
  • Reverse engineer and conduct a comprehensive solution analysis to ensure all configurations are considered
  • Thoroughly evaluate numerous customized tables, flows, business rules, scripts, UI pages, and UI policies that were created for the original solution
Candidate Requirements / Must Have Skills
  1. 10+ years of experience as a developer/analyst/solution designer
  2. 5+ years of experience working with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) Foundations
  3. 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow platform with proficiency in ServiceNow configuration, scripting, and workflow development
  4. 5+ years of experience with APM concepts, including application rationalization and lifecycle management.
Nice-To-Have Skills
  • Experience working with Drive Value with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) 3.0 – CMDB and Service Graph
  • Experience working with CMDB (Configuration Management Database)
  • Financial industry experience
