A service technician - motor vehicle repair is required for a permanent, full-time position in Winnipeg, MB. The successful candidate will have a secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

The responsibilities of the job include:

  • Confirming findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
  • Discussing work with supervisor
  • Inspecting mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Reviewing work orders
  • Road testing motor vehicles
  • Testing automotive systems and components
  • Adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive systems
  • Completing reports to record problems and work performed

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Dependability, reliability, and punctuality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail

The work environment will be dusty and noisy, and the candidate will be required to stand for extended periods. Steel-toed safety boots are required.

The salary for this position is $16.00 to $20.00 per hour, with 70 to 80 hours worked bi-weekly. Free parking is available.
