We are hiring for a Server, Wildlight Kitchen + Bar at our location in Vancouver, BC near the UBC area.

Responsibilities
  • Warmly greeting guests in a friendly and courteous manner & explaining all specials, promotions, and food items on the menu.
  • Memorizing and promoting daily specials and answering any questions about menu pricing.
  • Knowing the menu syllabus and being able to prioritize allergies or dietary restrictions.
  • Making food and beverage recommendations to guests as appropriate.
  • Accurately taking orders and entering into the POS systems and serving guests per established service & timing standards.
  • Entering reservations into the restaurant's reservations system.
  • Ensuring the guests' needs are met, including keeping beverages full and providing additional condiments or food items.
  • Handling customer service inquiries and providing a positive customer experience.
  • Presenting accurate checks and collecting payments in a timely manner.
  • Balancing end-of-day paperwork, including cash, credit card transactions, and tip-outs with minimal errors, overages, or shortages.
  • Supporting other areas of the restaurant as necessary.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1 year of restaurant server experience.
  • A Serving it Right Certificate.
  • A Food Safe Certificate (considered an asset).
  • Proficiency with computers and applications including POS systems (considered an asset).
Requirements
  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
