As a Senior Technician - Security, you will collaboratively review, understand, analyze, and implement installation blueprints and plans from Project Managers and Sales Teams to complete installations. This role requires the ability and know-how to properly complete the installation, understand and follow the BOM, and be capable of making adjustments or finding alternative solutions as needed to complete installations to client satisfaction.

General Accountabilities
- Install, program, configure security systems and commissioning, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, intrusion alarms, fence detection system, in accordance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure the continued functionality and reliability of security systems. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs, provide expert guidance, and offer solutions tailored to their requirements. Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through effective communication and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate records (documentation) of system installations, maintenance activities, and repairs. Prepare, create, and execute detailed reports and acceptance test plans to meet SLAs and contracts for clients and internal use.
- Train clients and end-users on the operation of security systems to maximize their effectiveness and ease of use.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in security technology, regulations, and industry best practices. Continuously improve technical skills through training and certifications.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and compliance standards related to security systems installation and maintenance.
- Administrative duties including project updates to Project Managers, completing and filing all project documentation.
- May be required to be on-call before or after regularly scheduled hours or on a day when not regularly scheduled to work.
- Utilize expertise to mentor colleagues, offering guidance in testing, fine-tuning, and optimizing equipment for peak operational efficiency.
- Lead projects at a site level and manage a team of junior technicians as necessary.
- Design systems and layout.

Required Qualifications
- Valid TQ certification
- 5+ years of experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry
- Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent
- Progressive experience in a technical role within the integrated security or low-voltage industry(s)
- Programming experience (essential for senior positions)
- Ability to work 50% to 70% night shift
- Previous experience leading installations at the site level
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in the use of relevant tools and equipment
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Vendor Certification in low voltage systems (e.g., LENEL, GENETEC, Milestone, Avigilon, AMAG, Keyscan, Kant e ch, SENSTAR, HANWHA, BOSCH, DSC, and others)

Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop. Must use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Vision requirements include close, distance, and depth perception; ability to adjust focus. Power tools may be used. May lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and work at heights above 1.8 m (6 feet).
Working Conditions
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and job sites; travel to and from locations; may work in a typical office environment; occasionally exposed to construction equipment. Noise level is usually moderate. Confined space entry and high work may be required.
Pay Range: $37.00 - $45.00 per hour DOE
