Salary Range: $87,934 - $153,600

Perform system administration support to the F-18 Integrated Product Team (IPT) at NAWCWD China Lake.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Provide advanced support in an enterprise environment supporting hardware and software installation, maintenance, and security of all servers and clients (Windows and Linux).
2. Support administration and maintenance of SAN hardware and OS.
3. Support all aspects of server and workstation management, including virtualization.
4. Support, implement, and comply with cybersecurity requirements and controls.
5. Provide technical support for organizational projects.
6. Coordinate activities with IT Management, other technical teams, and stakeholders.
7. Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
8. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve the IPT's mission.
9. Provide implementation support for projects and new services.
10. Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
11. Participate in research and development to continuously improve the organization's environment and processes.
12. Mentor junior and journeymen administrators.

Required Skills:

• U.S. Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
• High school diploma/GED plus 20+ years of experience, or Associate's degree plus 14 years, or a bachelor's degree in an IT field with 12 years of experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server and enterprise services.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
• Must be able to work onsite; this position is not remote.
• Certifications: Windows Operating System and Security+ or equivalent within 6 months of start date to comply with DoD 8140.
• Willingness to work after hours/weekends for patching and maintenance as needed.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with outside agencies; capable of working independently.
• Professionalism, courtesy, high moral character, and integrity.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Linux RHEL 7/8/9, PowerShell or other scripting languages.
• Experience with DISA security tools, McAfee E-Policy Orchestrator (HBSS, ENS, DLP), Splunk Enterprise, Ivanti Security Controls, Azure DevOps.
• Experience implementing NIST 800-53 standards.
• Possession of a Top Secret clearance.
• DBMS administration (MSSQL 2008/2012/2014/2017).
• CISSP Certification.
