Our engineering team builds cloud technology solutions that empower local businesses to thrive and better serve the deskless workforce in their communities. We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team.

Day in the Life

• You are a seasoned Software Engineer with a strong background in application and infrastructure security.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and peer engineers to deliver well-scoped product features.
• You advocate for and practice test-driven development (TDD) to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software.
• Your technical skills are complemented by your ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Who You Are

• Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Go, TypeScript, Java, C/C++, with experience in developing high-performance and high-availability backend systems.
• Experience with mobile authentication is preferred but not required.
• Experience with relationship-based access control is preferred but not required.
• Experience with managing business processes is preferred but not required.
• Strong foundation in programming principles and design patterns.
• Experience with building scalable systems and a test-driven CI/CD mindset.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL or MongoDB) and understanding when to use each.
• Knowledge of caching mechanisms such as Redis or Memcached.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Demonstrated experience in designing distributed systems with a holistic perspective.
• Keeps up with the latest technological trends and continuously looks to improve productivity.
• Full professional proficiency in English.

In compliance with the British Columbia Pay Transparency Act, the base salary range for this role is between $100,000-$150,000 CAD. This range is not inclusive of our equity package. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
