Job Description

This is a highly technical role that requires strong hands-on expertise combined with strong communication and leadership skills. You will be required to solve systemic challenges which have impeded our ability to be agile and push changes to production quickly and apply your expertise where needed, blurring the line between traditional roles.

What will you do?

• Design and implement advanced test automation and AI-driven test solution to enhance test coverage and quality and to achieve what has been traditionally view as not feasible.
• Develop and promote high and reliable code quality to promote maintainability and reusability.
• Integrate tools into enterprise DevOps pipelines to enable more end-to-end automation of integration, functional and performance testing.
• Enhance and support applications, by designing, developing, reviewing and maintaining test automation code for applications based on industry standards and best practices (AI or automation tools)
• Collaborate with business, operations and technology teams and participates in all phases of the project life cycles (requirements, design, development, testing) to align on test strategy to improve code quality.
• Work closely with the application development team in an integrated one-team fashion to advance quality engineering processes into the workflows.
• Understand the strategic imperatives of the organization and our department and identify opportunities to further those objectives as part of project work.
• Contentiously assess and adopt emerging technologies to drive test innovation and adopt best practices.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to understand and express complex topics.
• Ability to rapidly learn new technologies and programming languages.
• Passionately embraces and leveraged AI technologies with a desire to challenge the status quo in a constructive.
• Must have Technologies: GitHub Actions, Java, Spring Boot, javascript, Gherkin, Cucumber, Kafka, MQ, Selenium, playwright, wiremock.
• Must understand concepts: BDD, TDD, Shift-left, Mocks and Stubs, Service Virtualization, Synthetic Data, CI/CD/CT.
• 5+ years of experience in Java and Spring Boot Framework.
• Must have a University/College graduate in computer science or engineering with 5+ years of experience working withing the application development process.
• Understand software design lifecycle, principles in architecture, design patterns and the different types of tests.

Nice-to-have

• Hands on experience withCloud Technologies and Platforms (OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
• Experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK) stack, UrbanCodeDeploy and DynaTrace.
• Working knowledge in Mainframe z/OS technologies such as JCL, TSO/ISPF, On Demand, ZEKE, RACF.
