Job summary

A leading horticultural company is looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee one of its main production sites. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading a mixed team effectively. The ideal candidate will possess solid technical knowledge of crop production and strong leadership abilities. Responsibilities include planning growing activities, managing staff, and supporting sustainable practices. Qualifications

  • Proven background in managing farming or horticultural operations.
  • Experience leading and organizing staff teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge of crop production, including irrigation, nutrition, and pest/disease control.
  • Physically able to work outdoors in all seasons.
  • Professional, reliable, and well-organized.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage day-to-day growing activities, including crop establishment and harvest operations.
  • Manage a mixed team of permanent, temporary, and contract staff.
  • Ensure compliance with horticultural, labour, and environmental regulations.
  • Contribute to budgeting and cost control.
  • Support high product standards and sustainability practices.

Education

Driving license (Category B)
Spraying qualifications beneficial
