Position Summary
Hallmark is seeking a Service Technician to assist our janitorial operations with service requests throughout our contract locations in the Greater Toronto Area. The Service Technician will report directly to the Executive Vice President. The responsibilities of this position include:
- Oversee all operations of the Toronto equipment service department
- Perform equipment repairs & preventative maintenance activities
- Ensure efficient completion of service requests
- Manage shop inventory, source & order parts from manufacturer/distributor partners
- Respond to emergency service calls 24/7 and travel across the GTA and surrounding areas
- Manage maintenance records and costs using in-house service tracking software
- Provide on-site staff support on how to operate power equipment safely
- Provide training and support to all service technicians in the department
- Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to occupational health & safety regulations
- Communicate with Site Managers on service requests, providing status updates
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by Management
Salary: $36.00 per hour

Qualifications
- Fluent in English and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (bilingual and multilingual is a plus, preferably in Spanish or Portuguese)
- 5+ years of technical experience servicing janitorial equipment (e.g., Tennant, Nilfisk)
- Certified by at least 1 OEM manufacturer
- Post-secondary diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Technology or similar designation
- G-class driver’s license
- Training and certifications on industry equipment (i.e. auto scrubbers) is an asset
- Proven strength in leadership ability by leading, training and mentoring junior technicians
- Must have 24/7 flexibility with work hours and be available for weekends and holidays (if needed)
- Experience in the janitorial or service industry
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and travel to various contract locations
- Passion for working with others and providing outstanding customer service
- Proficient computer and technical skills with a focus on service tracking software and MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe
