About the role

The Senior Security Engineer is a hands-on technical expert responsible for designing implementing operating and improving security controls and infrastructure to protect Ramsay Health Care’s digital assets and operations. Working within a collaborative and customer-centric team this role supports the delivery of secure technology outcomes across Ramsay’s complex healthcare environment.

This role focuses on configuring and maintaining Forescout CounterACT to enhance asset discovery enforce compliance and enable automated responses to cybersecurity threats across complex network environments.

This role requires strong technical expertise practical problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technology clinical and business stakeholders.

This is a permanent full-time role and can be based in any state within Australia.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, operate and improve security controls and infrastructure to protect Ramsay Health Care’s digital assets and operations.
  • Configure and maintain Forescout CounterACT to enhance asset discovery, enforce compliance and enable automated responses to cybersecurity threats across complex network environments.
  • Collaborate with technology, clinical and business stakeholders to deliver secure technology outcomes.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience (ideally 3 years) working with Forescout CounterACT in enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of Forescout policy creation and enforcement including device classification, posture assessment and automated remediation.
  • Hands-on experience with Forescout eyeSight and eyeControl modules.
  • Ability to integrate Forescout with third-party systems such as SIEMs, firewalls, ITSM, EDR and vulnerability management.
  • Experience with network access control (NAC) strategies and implementing agentless visibility across diverse device types (IoT, OT, BYOD, etc.).
  • Proficient in troubleshooting Forescout policies, device profiling issues and integration workflows.
  • Ability to collaborate with network infrastructure and security teams to optimize Forescout’s role in the broader security ecosystem.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a security engineer or related role.
  • General experience with Google Cloud Platform, Incident Response, Incident Management, Bash Scripting, Microsoft PowerShell Scripting, Vulnerability Management, SIEM Tools, Privileged Access Management (PAM), Identity Access Management (IAM), Endpoint Security, VPNs, Proxies, Firewalls, and AWS.
