Job description

Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic leader with a strong background in the ICI market to contribute to the growth and success of Kelson over the long term. Reporting directly to a Construction Manager, this individual will lead a diverse team in a collaborative environment. As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee some of our more complex projects across the GTA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire construction project, ensuring compliance with design specifications, project plans, and schedules.
  • Manage all aspects of the project, including performance, schedules, budget, labor, equipment, materials, and safety.
  • Represent and liaise with clients, owners, consultants, third-party contractors, on-site team members, and management.
  • Analyze, interpret, and advise on documentation, drawings, design specifications, and client and subcontractor meetings.
  • Coordinate, review, and manage monthly billings and contract modifications.
  • Provide leadership to a diverse team, including coaching, performance management, adherence to policies, fostering innovation, and leading by example.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least six (6) years of progressively senior project experience.
  • Proven success on large-scale, complex projects with extensive knowledge of construction laws and building codes.
  • Strong project management skills, including organization, documentation, and experience with technology-based environments.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, with strong decision-making skills and client relationship management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in project management software, Microsoft Office suite, and in-house systems.
