Responsibilities and Qualifications
Intrado is looking to hire a Senior Product Manager to join our team.
The Senior Product Manager is a strategic leader responsible for managing the full lifecycle of products within the Viper NextGen 911 product suite, a mission-critical public safety technology enabling next-generation emergency call handling and communications. This role ensures the Viper portfolio remains at the forefront of innovation, meets evolving industry standards (including NENA i3), and delivers measurable value to public safety agencies. Operating with limited supervision, the Senior Product Manager leads cross-functional initiatives, mentors junior team members, and plays a critical role in shaping product strategy, go-to-market execution, and long-term innovation. Success in this role requires a blend of business acumen, deep understanding of NG911 technologies, and commercial leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead market research and analysis for NG911 and public safety communications, including competitive benchmarking, market sizing, regulatory trends, and customer insights to inform product strategy
- Develop and present robust business cases to support investments in the Viper NextGen 911 portfolio, ensuring alignment with market needs, compliance standards, and company growth targets
- Own pricing and packaging strategies to maximize adoption and profitability within the public safety market
- Define and execute go-to-market strategies in partnership with sales, marketing, and operations, including launch plans for new Viper features, integrations, and enhancements
- Manage product development budgets and capital expenditures for the Viper portfolio, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with strategic priorities
- Collaborate with engineering, systems, and operations teams to ensure Viper product setup, interoperability, launch readiness, and ongoing lifecycle support
- Drive the creation of high-impact sales and marketing enablement tools, including technical documentation, case studies, and training materials tailored to public safety agencies
- Maintain deep expertise in the Viper NextGen 911 platform capabilities, roadmap, and integration points, serving as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor internally and externally
- Translate market needs and PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) feedback into clear, prioritized product requirements for engineering
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for the Viper platform based on performance metrics, customer feedback, and evolving NG911 ecosystem requirements
- Partner with sales, support, and service teams to evaluate Viper product performance, identify capability gaps, and drive enhancements
- Provide mentorship and guidance to other Product Managers, fostering public safety technology expertise within the team
- Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations of Viper capabilities to executives, customers, and industry stakeholders
- Maintain strong awareness of competitive offerings, regulatory changes, and emerging trends impacting NG911 adoption
- Ensure excellence in execution across all stages of the product lifecycle for the Viper portfolio
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of progressive experience in product management, business strategy, or a related role; preferably in public safety communications, NG911, telecommunications, or mission-critical infrastructure
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional product initiatives with measurable business outcomes
- In-depth understanding of NG911 standards, protocols (including SIP, ESInet, i3 architecture), and interoperability requirements preferred
- Proven experience developing and presenting business cases for mission-critical systems, including market analysis, ROI projections, and regulatory compliance considerations
- Experience mentoring or managing junior team members
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence across all organizational levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with roadmap and project management tools preferred
- Strong analytical skills and a commercial mindset; capable of making sound, data-driven decisions
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field required

The starting compensation is anticipated between $145,000 and $155,000 CAD and will be commensurate with experience.
